Chapter 111: Rāma Agrees to Accept the Throne After Returning to Ayodhyā

एवमुक्तस्तु रामेण भरतः प्रत्यनन्तरम्।
उवाच परमोदारः सूतं परमदुर्मनाः॥
evam uktas tu rāmeṇa bharataḥ pratyanantaram
uvāca paramodāraḥ sūtaṁ parama-durmanāḥ
evam = thus; uktaḥ tu = when spoken; rāmeṇa = Rāma; bharataḥ = Bharata; pratyanantaram = near Him; uvāca = spoke as follows; parama-udāraḥ = who was most liberal; sūtam = to the charioteer; parama-durmanāḥ = and most distressed.
When Rāma spoke thus, Bharata who was most liberal and most distressed spoke to the charioteer near Him as follows.
Bharata was most liberal—He had offered His entire kingdom to Rāma.
