Chapter 111: Rāma Agrees to Accept the Throne After Returning to Ayodhyā

न याचे पितरं राज्यं नानुशासामि मातरम्।
आर्यं परमधर्मज्ञं नानुजानामि राघवम्॥
na yāce pitaraṁ rājyaṁ nānuśāsāmi mātaram
āryaṁ parama-dharmajñaṁ nānujānāmi rāghavam
na = didn’t; yāce = I ask; pitaram = My father; rājyam = for the kingdom; na = didn’t; anuśāsāmi = I direct; mātaram = My mother to do this; āryam = noble; parama-dharmajñam = the supreme knower of dharma; na = didn’t; anujānāmi = I approve [of her plans] to send to the forest; rāghavam = Rāghava.
I didn’t ask My father for the kingdom. I didn’t direct My mother to do this. I didn’t approve [of her plans] to send noble Rāghava, the supreme knower of dharma, to the forest.
