Chapter 111: Rāma Agrees to Accept the Throne After Returning to Ayodhyā
Text 2.111.32

वृतो राजा हि कैकेय्या मया तद्वचनं कृतम्।
अनृतान्मोचयानेन पितरं तं महीपतिम्॥

vṛto rājā hi kaikeyyā mayā tad-vacanaṁ kṛtam
anṛtān mocayānena pitaraṁ taṁ mahī-patim

vṛtaḥ = had received a boon; rājā hi = from the king; kaikeyyā = Kaikeyī-devī; mayā = [and therefore] I; tat-vacanam = his instruction; kṛtam = have obeyed; anṛtāt = from [the threat of] untruthfulness; mocaya = liberate; anena = by maintaining the kingdom; pitaram = Our father; tam mahī-patim = King Daśaratha.

Kaikeyī-devī had sought a boon from the king [and therefore] I have obeyed his instruction. By maintaining the kingdom, liberate Our father King Daśaratha from [the threat of] untruthfulness.

[1] hīna-kalpaṁ na seveta puruṣo vibhave sati.
