Chapter 117: Anasūyā Instructs Sītā About Strī-dharma
Text 2.117.24

नातो विशिष्टं पश्यामि बान्धवं विमृशन्त्यहम्।
सर्वत्र योग्यं वैदेहि तपःकृतमिवाव्ययम्॥

nāto viśiṣṭaṁ paśyāmi bāndhavaṁ vimṛśanty aham
sarvatra yogyaṁ vaidehi tapaḥ-kṛtam ivāvyayam

na = do not; ataḥ = than my husband; viśiṣṭam = a better; paśyāmi = find; bāndhavam = friend; vimṛśantī = while in deliberation; aham = I; sarvatra yogyam = who is capable of taking care of and protecting me under all circumstances; vaidehi = Vaidehī; tapaḥ-kṛtam = austerity; iva = like [the result of]; avyayam = inexhaustible.

“Vaidehī, while in deliberation, I do not find a better friend than my husband who is capable of taking care of and protecting me under all circumstances, like [the result of] inexhaustible austerity.
