Chapter 2: Rāma Encounters the Rākṣasa Virādha
Text 3.2.17
यदभिप्रेतमस्मासु प्रियं वरवृतं च यत्।
कैकेय्यास्तु सु सम्पन्नं क्षिप्रमद्यैव लक्ष्मण॥
yad abhipretam asmāsu priyaṁ vara-vṛtaṁ ca yat
kaikeyyās tu susampannaṁ kṣipram adyaiva lakṣmaṇa
yat = that which; abhipretam = wanted [to happen]; asmāsu = to us; priyam = happily; vara-vṛtam = she sought for through her boons; ca = and; yat kaikeyyāḥ = Queen Kaikeyī; tu = that which; susampannam = has become accomplished; kṣipram = quickly; adya eva = today; lakṣmaṇa = Lakṣmaṇa.
Lakṣmaṇa, that which Queen Kaikeyī wanted [to happen] to us and that which she happily sought for through her boons has become quickly accomplished today!
