Chapter 11: Rāma Goes to Agastya’s Āśrama
Text 3.11.33
न तु जानामि तं देशं वनस्यास्य महत्तया।
कुत्राश्रममिदं पुण्यं महर्षेस्तस्य धीमतः॥
na tu jānāmi taṁ deśaṁ vanasyāsya mahattayā
kutrāśramam idaṁ puṇyaṁ maha-rṣes tasya dhīmataḥ
na = not; tu = but; jānāmi = I do know; tam = the; deśam = place [where he lives]; vanasya = forest; asya = of this; mahattayā = because of the vastness; kutra = where; āśramam = āśrama; idam = is the; puṇyam = sacred; mahā-ṛṣeḥ = and great sage; tasya = of that; dhīmataḥ = intelligent.
But because of the vastness of this forest I do not know the place [where he lives]. Where is the sacred āśrama of that intelligent and great sage?
