प्राज्यकामा जनपदाः सम्पन्नतरगोरसाः।
विचरन्ति महीपाला यात्रास्था विजिगीषवः॥
prājya-kāmā janapadāḥ sampannatara-go-rasāḥ
vicaranti mahī-pālā yātrāsthā vijigīṣavaḥ
prājya-kāmāḥ = increase their possession of several desirable [objects] 3; janapadāḥ = residents of the outlying districts; sampannatara-go-rasāḥ = and their excellence with cow milk; vicaranti = march; mahī-pālāḥ = rulers of the land; yātrāsthāḥ = confidently towards war; vijigīṣavaḥ = desiring to win over [their opponents].
Residents of the outlying districts increase their possession of several desirable [objects] and their excellence with cow milk. Rulers of the land desiring to win over [their opponents] march confidently towards war.1
