ततस्तु सा राक्षससङ्घसंवृतं खरं जनस्थानगतं विरूपिता।
उपेत्य तं भ्रातरमुग्रदर्शनं पपात भूमौ गगनाद्यथाशनिः॥
tatas tu sā rākṣasa-saṅgha-saṁvṛtaṁ
kharaṁ janasthāna-gataṁ virūpitā
upetya taṁ bhrātaram ugra-darśanaṁ
papāta bhūmau gaganād yathāśaniḥ
tataḥ tu = then; sā = that; rākṣasa-saṅgha-saṁvṛtam = and he was surrounded by hordes of rākṣasas; kharam = Khara; janasthāna-gatam = in Janasthāna; virūpitā = deformed lady; upetya = approached and; tam = the famous; bhrātaram = her brother; ugra-darśanam = was of frightful appearance; papāta = fell; bhūmau = on the ground; gaganāt = from the sky; yathā = like; aśaniḥ = a lightning.
That deformed lady then approached her brother and fell on the ground like a lightning from the sky. The famous Khara was of frightful appearance and he was surrounded by hordes of rākṣasas in Janasthāna.
