दृष्ट्वा पुनर्महानादं ननाद जलदो यथा॥

After seeing fourteen thousand rākṣasas, who had performed fierce deeds, killed by Rāma who was all alone, and upon seeing Dūṣaṇa, Khara as well as Triśirā killed, Śūrpaṇakhā roared loudly like a [thundering] cloud.

Rāvaṇa was endowed with ascetic powers and the strength of his arms. He was feared by all creatures and he was filled with evil intelligence. [Nevertheless,] he would be killed by Rāma. May that Lord Rāma be the source of my delight.1
