Chapter 42: Mārīca Becomes an Enchanting Deer
Text 3.42.29
तस्मिन्नेव ततः काले वैदेही शुभलोचना।
कुसुमापचयव्यग्रा पादपानभ्यवर्तत॥
tasminn eva tataḥ kāle vaidehī śubha-locanā
kusumāpacaya-vyagrā pādapān abhyavartata
tasmin eva = at that; tataḥ = out of the āśrama; kāle = time; vaidehī = Vaidehī; śubha-locanā = whose eyes were beautiful; kusuma-apacaya-vyagrā = [for] she was busy picking flowers; pādapān = the trees; abhyavartata = came and approached.
At that time Vaidehī, whose eyes were beautiful, came out of the āśrama and approached the trees [for] she was busy picking flowers.
