Chapter 46: Rāvaṇa Disguises Himself and Approaches Sītā
Text 3.46.6

तमुग्रतेजःकर्माणं जनस्थानरुहा द्रुमाः।
समीक्ष्य न प्रकम्पन्ते न प्रवाति च मारुतः॥

tam ugra-tejaḥ-karmāṇaṁ janasthāna-ruhā drumāḥ
samīkṣya na prakampante na pravāti ca mārutaḥ

tam = him; ugra-tejaḥ-karmāṇam = the possessor of terrible prowess and performer of terrible activities; janasthāna-ruhāḥ = that grew in Janasthāna; drumāḥ = the trees; samīkṣya = upon noticing; na prakampante = stopped all movement; na pravāti = stopped blowing; ca = and; mārutaḥ = the wind.

Upon noticing him, the possessor of terrible prowess and performer of terrible activities, the trees that grew in Janasthāna stopped all movement and the wind stopped blowing.
