Chapter 46: Rāvaṇa Disguises Himself and Approaches Sītā
Text 3.46.35

इयं बृसी ब्राह्मण काममास्यतामिदं च पाद्यं प्रतिगृह्यतामिति।
इदं च सिद्धं वनजातमुत्तमं त्वदर्थमव्यग्रमिहोपभुज्यताम्॥

iyaṁ bṛsī brāhmaṇa kāmam āsyatām
idaṁ ca pādyaṁ pratigṛhyatām iti
idaṁ ca siddhaṁ vana-jātam uttamaṁ
tvad-artham avyagram ihopabhujyatām

iyam = on this; bṛsī = seat; brāhmaṇa = O brāhmaṇa; kāmam = comfortably; āsyatām = please sit; idam ca = this; pādyam = water for washing your feet; pratigṛhyatām iti = please accept; idam ca = here is; siddham = cooked; vana-jātam = [food] grown in the  forest; uttamam = excellent; tvat-artham = for you; avyagram = peacefully; iha = here; upabhujyatām = please eat.

O brāhmaṇa, please sit comfortably on this seat. Please accept this water for washing your feet. Here is excellent [food] grown in the forest, cooked for you. Please eat here peacefully.1

This verse shows how she honored him.

Bṛsī is a seat for the sages.1 [The food] grown in the forest were roots, fruits and so on.

1 Contrary to Rāvaṇa’s foolish evil plans, this is actually her trap for him, for by kidnapping Māyā Sītā, Rāvaṇa and his entire entourage of demons would be destroyed. If we try to cheat the Supreme Personality of Godhead, we will become laughing stocks of the entire universe.

1 Sītā-devī gave him this seat to sit on.
