Chapter 47: Rāvaṇa Reveals his Identity to Sītā
Text 3.47.29
तत्र सीते मया सार्धं वनेषु विहरिष्यसि।
न चास्यारण्यवासस्य स्पृहयिष्यसि भामिनि॥
tatra sīte mayā sārdhaṁ vaneṣu vihariṣyasi
na cāsyāraṇya-vāsasya spṛhayiṣyasi bhāmini
tatra = there; sīte = Sītā; mayā sārdham = with me; vaneṣu = in the gardens; vihariṣyasi = you will sport; na = not; ca = and; asya araṇya-vāsasya = to reside in this forest; spṛhayiṣyasi = hanker; bhāmini = beautiful.
Beautiful Sītā, you will sport with me in the gardens there and not hanker to reside in this forest.
