Chapter 55: Rāvaṇa Flatters Sītā
Text 3.55.2
स चिन्तयानो वैदेहीं कामबाणसमर्पितः।
प्रविवेश गृहं रम्यं सीतां द्रष्टुमभित्वरन्॥
sa cintayāno vaidehīṁ kāma-bāṇa-samarpitaḥ
praviveśa gṛhaṁ ramyaṁ sītāṁ draṣṭum abhitvaran
saḥ = he; cintayānaḥ = thought; vaidehīm = about Vaidehī; kāma-bāṇa-samarpitaḥ = pained by the arrows of lust; praviveśa = and entered; gṛham = inner quarters; ramyam = his beautiful; sītām = Sītā; draṣṭum = to see; abhitvaran = quickly.
Pained by the arrows of lust, he thought about Vaidehī and quickly entered his beautiful inner quarters to see Sita.
