Chapter 64: Rāma Discovers Some Clues About Sītā’s Whereabouts
Text 3.64.35
मम बाणाग्निनिर्दग्धो भस्मीभूतो भविष्यसि।
असेव्यः सन्ततं चैव निस्तृणद्रुमपल्लवः॥
mama bāṇāgni-nirdagdho bhasmī-bhūto bhaviṣyasi
asevyaḥ santataṁ caiva nistṛṇa-druma-pallavaḥ
mama = My; bāṇa-agni-nirdagdhaḥ = after being burnt by the fire of arrows; bhasmī-bhūtaḥ bhaviṣyasi = you will turn into ashes; asevyaḥ = you will be unfit for habitation; santatam ca eva = ever; nistṛṇa-druma-pallavaḥ = devoid of grass, trees and sprouts.
After being burnt by the fire of My arrows, you will turn into ashes. Devoid of grass, trees and sprouts, you will be unfit for habitation.
