Text 1.1.40

अगस्त्यवचनाच्चैव जग्राहैन्द्रं शरासनम्।
खड्गं च परमप्रीतस्तूणी चाक्षयसायकौ॥

agastya-vacanāc caiva jagrāhaindraṁ śarāsanam
khaḍgaṁ ca parama-prītas tūṇī cākṣaya-sāyakau

agastya-vacanāt ca = by the order of Agastya; eva = it was that; jagrāha = accepted; aindram = which Indra had given him; śarāsanam = a bow; khaḍgam ca = sword; parama-prītaḥ = with great happiness; tūṇī = two quivers; ca = and; akṣaya-sāyakau = which could produce unlimited arrows.

It was by the order of Agastya that [Rāma] accepted, with great happiness, a bow, sword and two quivers which could produce unlimited arrows and which Indra had given him.

Rāma was extremely happy, for He is the supreme hero of the entire universe and He obtained weapons suited to Him. Rāma did not ask Agastya for the weapons; Agastya himself gave them to Him. [Indeed,] Agastya had not even touched them.
