Chapter 1: Contents of the Rāmāyaṇa Summarized
Text 1.1.90

न चाग्निजं भयं किञ्चिन्नाप्सु मज्जन्ति जन्तवः।
न वातजं भयं किञ्चिन्नापि ज्वरकृतं तथा।
न च अपि क्षुद्भयं तत्र न तस्करभयं तथा॥

na cāgnijaṁ bhayaṁ kiñcin nāpsu majjanti jantavaḥ
na vātajaṁ bhayaṁ kiñcin nāpi jvara-kṛtaṁ tathā
na cāpi kṣud-bhayaṁ tatra na taskara-bhayaṁ tathā

na ca = [there will be] be no; agnijam = due to fire; bhayam = danger; kiñcit = whatsoever; na = none; apsu = in water; majjanti = would drown jantavaḥ = of the creatures; na = no; vātajam = due to air; bhayam = fear; kiñcit = whatsoever; na api = nor; jvara-kṛtam tathā = due to fever; na ca api = neither; kṣud-bhayam tatra = danger due to hunger; na = nor; taskara-bhayam tathā = danger due to thieves.

[There will be] be no danger due to fire. None of the creatures will drown in water. [There will be] no danger due to air nor [will there be any danger] due to fever. [There will be] neither danger due to hunger nor danger due to thieves.

In Rāma’s kingdom, there would be not even a trace of the threefold miseries of material life. That there would be no danger due to fire, water and air indicate that there would be no natural miseries (ādhidaivika-kleśa). That there would no danger due to fever or hunger indicate that there would be no bodily miseries (ādhyātmika-kleśa). That there would no danger due to thieves indicate that there would be no disturbances caused by others (ādhibhautika-kleśa).

[In other words,] while Rāma had ruled His kingdom, there were no undesirables in His kingdom. That has been stated so far. From the next verse, it is pointed out that His kingdom was also filled with desirables.
