Chapter 10: Ṛśyaśṛṅga Comes to Romapada’s kingdom
Text 1.10.1
सुमन्त्रश्चोदितो राज्ञा प्रोवाचेदं वचस्तथा।
यथ र्श्यशृङ्गस्त्वानीतः शृणु मे मे मन्त्रिभिः स ह॥
sumantraś codito rājñā provācedaṁ vacas tathā
yatha rśyaśṛṅgas tv ānītaḥ śṛṇu me mantribhiḥ sa ha
sumantraḥ = when Sumantra; coditaḥ = was requested [to speak further]; rājñā = by the king; provāca = he spoke idam vacaḥ tathā = as follows; yathā = about how; ṛśyaśṛṅgaḥ tu = Ṛśyaśṛṅga; ānītaḥ = was brought; śṛṇu = listen; me = to me; mantribhiḥ = by the ministers; saḥ ha = that;
When Sumantra was requested by the king [to speak further], he spoke as follows: Listen to me about how that Ṛśyaśṛṅga was brought by the ministers.
