अन्तःपुरं प्रविश्यास्मै कन्यां दत्त्वा यथाविधि।
शान्तां शान्तेन मनसा राजा हर्षमवाप सः॥

antaḥ-puraṁ praviśyāsmai kanyāṁ dattvā yathā-vidhi
śāntāṁ śāntena manasā rājā harṣam avāpa saḥ

antaḥ-puram = the inner quarters; praviśya = having entered [with Ṛśyaśṛṅga]; asmai kanyām dattvā yathā-vidhi = in charity to him in marriage in accordance with the scriptural regulations; śāntām = his daughter Śāntā; śāntena = with a peaceful; manasā = mind; rājā = King Romapāda; harṣam avāpa saḥ = became happy.

Having entered the inner quarters [with Ṛśyaśṛṅga] with a peaceful mind, King Romapāda gave his daughter Śāntā in charity to him in marriage in accordance with the scriptural regulations and became happy.

The king’s mind was peaceful, that is, free from distress. He was satisfied because he satisfied Ṛśyaśṛṅga.
