Canto 1 - Boyhood
Bāla-kāṇḍa
Chapter 10: Ṛśyaśṛṅga Comes to Romapada’s kingdom
Text 1.10.8
पितुः स नित्यसन्तुष्टो नातिचक्राम चाश्रमात्॥
pituḥ sa nitya-santuṣṭo nāticakrāma cāśramāt
pituḥ = in the association of his father; saḥ = he; nitya-santuṣṭaḥ = was always satisfied; na = never; aticakrāma = went out; ca = and; āśramāt = of the āśrama.
He was always satisfied in the association of his father and never went out of the āśrama.
Sumantra further explains the reason for the courtesans to endeavor to carefully observe Ṛśyaśṛṅga: he was exclusively busy in the service of his father.
