Chapter 11: Daśaratha Brings Ṛśyaśṛṅga to Ayodhyā
Text 1.11.12
स त्वं पुरुषशार्दूल तमानय सुसत्कृतम्।
स्वयमेव च राजेन्द्र गत्वा सबलवाहनः॥
sa tvaṁ puruṣa-śārdūla tam ānaya susatkṛtam
svayam eva ca rājendra gatvā sabala-vāhanaḥ
sa tvam puruṣa-śārdūla = O tiger among men; tam = that; ānaya = bring; susatkṛtam = greatly honorable one; svayam eva ca = being desirous of sons, personally; rāja-indra = and Lord of kings; gatvā = go and; sabala-vāhanaḥ = with your army and in your vehicle
O tiger among men and Lord of kings, being desirous of sons, personally go with your army and in your vehicle, and bring that greatly honorable one.
“Go personally. Don’t just send your priest.”
