Chapter 11: Daśaratha Brings Ṛśyaśṛṅga to Ayodhyā
Text 1.11.31
पूज्यमाना च ताभिः सा राज्ञा चैव विशेषतः।
उवास तत्र सुखिता कञ्चित्कालं सह र्त्विजा॥
pūjyamānā ca tābhiḥ sā rājñā caiva viśeṣataḥ
uvāsa tatra sukhitā kañcit kālaṁ saha rtvijā
pūjyamānā ca = honored; tābhiḥ = by them; sā = she; rājñā = by the king; ca eva = and; viśeṣataḥ = especially; uvāsa = lived; tatra = there; sukhitā = happily; kañcit = for some; kālam = time; saha = with; rtvijā = Ṛśyaśṛṅga, the priest.
Honored by them and especially by the king, she lived there happily for some time with Ṛśyaśṛṅga, the priest.
Śāntā was especially honored by the king because he was her seminal father.
