Chapter 13: Daśaratha Goes to the Sacrificial Arena
Text 1.13.19
ततः सुमन्त्रमानीय वसिष्ठो वाक्यमब्रवीत्।
निमन्त्रयस्व नृपतीन्पृथिव्यां ये च धार्मिकाः॥
tataḥ sumantram ānīya vasiṣṭho vākyam abravīt
nimantrayasva nṛ-patīn pṛthivyāṁ ye ca dhārmikāḥ
tataḥ = then; sumantram = Sumantra; ānīya = called and; vasiṣṭhaḥ = Vasiṣṭha; vākyam = these words; abravīt = spoke; nimantrayasva = call; nṛ-patīn = all kings; pṛthivyām = on earth; ye ca = who; dhārmikāḥ = adhere to Vedic dharma.
Then, Vasiṣṭha called Sumantra and spoke these words: Call all kings on earth who adhere to Vedic dharma.
Having created all facilities [for the visitors], Vasiṣṭha then ordered that kings be invited.
