Chapter 13: Daśaratha Goes to the Sacrificial Arena
Text 1.13.42
श्रीमांश्च सह पत्नीभी राजा दीक्षामुपाविशत्॥
śrīmāṁś ca saha patnībhī rājā dīkṣām upāviśat
śrīmān ca = the prosperous; saha = with; patnībhiḥ = his wives; rājā = king; dīkṣām = upāviśat = then became initiated into the sacrifice.
The prosperous king then became initiated into the sacrifice with his wives.
