न चाहुतमभूत्तत्र स्कलितं वापि किञ्चन।
दृश्यते ब्रह्मवत्सर्वं क्षेमयुक्तं हि चक्रिरे॥
na cāhutam abhūt tatra skalitaṁ vāpi kiñcana
dṛśyate brahmavat sarvaṁ kṣema-yuktaṁ hi cakrire
na ca = no; āhutam abhūt tatra = oblation offered there; skalitam vā api kiñcana = by mistake; dṛśyate = appeared; brahmavat = perfect, like the mantra recitations; sarvam = everything in the sacrificial performance; kṣema-yuktam hi = everything without facing any obstacles; cakrire = they performed.
No oblation was ever offered by mistake. Everything in the sacrificial performance appeared perfect, like the mantra recitations. They performed everything without facing any obstacles.
[5] patnī-saṁyajanānte ’hany agniṣṭome tu saṁsthite / prajāpati-same gīte vīṇā-gaṇikibhir nṛpe; astaṁ gate sahasrāṁśāv āruhyāśvattha-nirmitāḥ / ṣaṭ-triṁśatam athāsandīs tāvanto ’dhvaryo vṛtāḥ / aprākṛtaiḥ sruvair dīrgha-daṇḍaiḥ khadira-sambhavaiḥ; sarvāntāṁ rātrim annāni daśājyādīni juhvati / saṅkhyāhṛtīs tāḥ sakṛd eva huvāparārdha-paryantam atha krameṇa; huvāśva-nāma-prabhṛtīni rātreḥ śeṣokthya-saṅkhyāhutibhiḥ samāpyaḥ.
This is an indication of the [ceremonial] offering of grains and other aspects of the horse sacrifice. Because these procedures are severalfold, there is the possibility of mistakes in this regard, and so it is imperative to mention that this sacrifice did not have any mistakes [5].
