ऋत्विजस्तु ततः सर्वे प्रददुः सहिता वसु।
ऋश्यशृङ्गाय मुनये वसिष्ठाय च धीमते॥
ṛtvijas tu tataḥ sarve pradaduḥ sahitā vasu
ṛśyaśṛṅgāya munaye vasiṣṭhāya ca dhīmate
ṛtvijaḥ tu = the sacrificial priests; tataḥ = then; sarve = all; pradaduḥ = gave; sahitāḥ = collectively; vasu = the wealth obtained in dakṣiṇā; ṛśyaśṛṅgāya = to Ṛśyaśṛṅga; munaye = Muni; vasiṣṭhāya = Vasiṣṭha, who shared the gift with them; ca = and; dhīmate = the intelligent.
All the sacrificial priests then collectively gave the wealth obtained in dakṣiṇā to Ṛśyaśṛṅga Muni and the intelligent Vasiṣṭha who shared the gift with them.1
1. Just see the selflessness of those genuine brāhmaṇas, so different from those who claim to be so in this age of Kali, who donated all they had received to Ṛśyaśṛṅga and Vasiṣṭha! And they shared that gift with them in return too!
