स तस्य वाक्यं मधुरं निशम्य प्रणम्य तस्मै प्रयतो नृपेन्द्रः।
जगाम हर्षं परमं महात्मा तमृश्यशृङ्गं पुनरप्युवाच॥
sa tasya vākyaṁ madhuraṁ niśamya
praṇamya tasmai prayato nṛpendraḥ
jagāma harṣaṁ paramaṁ mahātmā
tam ṛśyaśṛṅgaṁ punar apy uvāca
saḥ = the; tasya = his; vākyam = words; madhuram = sweet; niśamya = hearing; praṇamya = offering his respectful obeisances; tasmai = unto the sage Ṛśyaśṛṅga; prayataḥ = and submissively; nṛpa-indraḥ = emperor; jagāma = became; harṣam = delighted; paramam = extremely; mahā-ātmā = and great soul; tam ṛśyaśṛṅgam = him; punaḥ api = again; uvāca = and requested to conduct it.
Hearing his sweet words and submissively offering his respectful obeisances unto the sage Ṛśyaśṛṅga, the emperor and great soul became extremely delighted and requested him again to conduct it.
