Chapter 18: The Advent of Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa, Bharata and Śatrughna
Text 1.18.25
तेषां जन्मक्रियादीनि सर्वकर्माण्यकारयत्॥
teṣāṁ janma-kriyādīni sarva-karmāṇy akārayat
teṣām = for his children; janma-kriyā-ādīni = beginning with the ritual for Their birth; sarva-karmāṇi = all rituals; akārayat = the king had performed.
The king had all rituals for his children beginning with the ritual for Their birth performed.
This informs us that the king performed all relevant saṁskāras. Adīnī indicates that he had the rituals for feeding Them Their first grains, shaving Them, initiation and so on conducted.
