ते गत्वा राजभवनं विश्वामित्रमृषिं तदा।
प्राप्तमावेदयामासुर्नृपायैक्ष्वाकवे तदा॥
te gatvā rāja-bhavanaṁ viśvāmitram ṛṣiṁ tadā
prāptam āvedayām āsur nṛpāyaikṣvākave tadā
te = they; gatvā = having reached; rāja-bhavanam = the king’s palace; viśvāmitram = Viśvāmitra; ṛṣim tadā = Ṛṣi; prāptam = had arrived; āvedayām āsuḥ = informed; nṛpāya = the king; ikṣvākave tadā = of Ikṣvāku’s dynasty that.
Having reached the king’s palace, they informed the king of Ikṣvāku’s dynasty that Viśvāmitra Ṛṣi had arrived.
They didn’t wait to inform the king as they did not want to delay the king’s meeting with the sage.
