Chapter 18: The Advent of Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa, Bharata and Śatrughna

अपि ते सन्नताः सर्वे सामन्ता रिपवो जिताः।
दैवं च मानुषं चापि कर्म ते साध्वनुष्ठितम्॥
api te sannatāḥ sarve sāmantā ripavo jitāḥ
daivaṁ ca mānuṣaṁ cāpi karma te sādhv anuṣṭhitam
api = are; te sannatāḥ = respectful to you; sarve sāmantāḥ = your neighboring kings; ripavaḥ = your enemies; jitāḥ = are conquered; daivam ca = to the demigods; mānuṣam ca api = and men; karma = duties; te = your; sādhu = properly; anuṣṭhitam = are executed.
Are your neighboring kings respectful to you? Are your enemies conquered? Are your duties to the demigods and men properly executed?
“Duties to the demigods” refer to sacrifices and so on. “Duties to men” refer to serving guests and so on.
