Chapter 19: Viśvāmitra Requests Daśaratha to Give Rāma
Text 1.19.19
इत्य् एवम् उक्त्वा धर्मात्मा धर्मार्थसहितं वचः
विरराम महातेजा विश्वामित्रो महामुनिः
ity evam uktvā dharmātmā dharmārtha-sahitaṁ vacaḥ
virarāma mahā-tejā viśvāmitro mahā-muniḥ
iti evam = these; uktvā = having spoken; dharma-ātmā = and whose mind was devoted to dharma; dharma-artha-sahitam = on dharma and artha; vacaḥ = words; virarāma = became silent; mahā-tejāḥ = who possessed great prowess; viśvāmitraḥ = Viśvāmitra; mahā-muniḥ = great sage.
Having spoken these words on dharma and artha, Viśvāmitra, the great sage who possessed great prowess and whose mind was devoted to dharma, became silent.
