Chapter 20: Daśaratha Refuses to Give Rāma
Text 1.20.16
तस्य तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा विश्वामित्रोऽभ्यभाषत॥
tasya tad vacanaṁ śrutvā viśvāmitro ’bhyabhāṣata
tasya tat = his; vacanam = words; śrutvā = upon hearing; viśvāmitraḥ = Viśvāmitra; abhyabhāṣata = replied as follows.
