Chapter 21: The Anger and Appeasal of Viśvāmitra
Text 1.21.13
सर्वास्त्राणि कृशाश्वस्य पुत्राः परमधार्मिकाः।
कौशिकाय पुरा दत्ता यदा राज्यं प्रशासति॥
sarvāstrāṇi kṛśāśvasya putrāḥ parama-dhārmikāḥ
kauśikāya purā dattā yadā rājyaṁ praśāsati
sarva-astrāṇi = the presiding deities of all weapons; kṛśāśvasya = of Prajāpati Kṛśāśva; putrāḥ = were sons; parama-dhārmikāḥ = they were supremely dhārmika; kauśikāya = to him; purā dattāḥ = they were given; yadā = when Viśvāmitra; rājyam = his kingdom; praśāsati = was ruling.
The presiding deities of all weapons were sons of Prajāpati Kṛśāśva. They were supremely dhārmika. When Viśvāmitra was ruling his kingdom, they were given to him.1

The sage Vasiṣṭha begins to explain how Viśvāmitra can know all the weapons that are unknown to all.
The presiding deities of these weapons were so dhārmika that they would never come under the control of a sinful person.
