Chapter 21: The Anger and Appeasal of Viśvāmitra
Text 1.21.22

इति मुनिवचनात्प्रसन्नचित्तो रघुवृषभश्च मुमोद भास्वराङ्गः।
गमनमभिरुरोच राघवस्य प्रथितयशाः कुशिकात्मजाय बुद्ध्या॥

iti muni-vacanāt prasanna-citto
raghu-vṛṣabhaś ca mumoda bhāsvarāṅgaḥ
gamanam
abhiruroca rāghavasya
prathita-yaśāḥ kuśikātmajāya buddhyā

iti muni-vacanāt = on hearing the words of sage Vasiṣṭha; prasanna-cittaḥ = [became] pleased at heart; raghu-vṛṣabhaḥ ca = the emperor of the Raghus; mumoda = he became delighted; bhāsvara-aṅgaḥ = his face lit up in happiness; gamanam = going; abhiruroca = and approved of; rāghavasya = Rāghava; prathita-yaśāḥ = [thus] Daśaratha of established fame; kuśika-ātmajāya = with the son of Kuśika; buddhyā = considered.

On hearing the words of sage Vasiṣṭha, the emperor of the Raghus [became] pleased at heart. His face lit up in happiness, and he became delighted. [Thus] Daśaratha of established fame considered and approved of Rāghava going with the son of Kuśika.
