Chapter 21: The Anger and Appeasal of Viśvāmitra
Text 1.21.7
त्रिषु लोकेषु विख्यातो धर्मात्मा इति राघवः।
स्वधर्मं प्रतिपद्यस्व नाधर्मं वोढुमर्हसि॥
triṣu lokeṣu vikhyāto dharmātmā iti rāghavaḥ
sva-dharmaṁ pratipadyasva nādharmaṁ voḍhum arhasi
triṣu = throughout the three; lokeṣu = worlds; vikhyātaḥ = is famous; dharma-ātmā = a dhārmika soul; iti = as; rāghavaḥ = a descendant of Raghu; sva-dharmam = your specific duty [of upholding what had promised]; pratipadyasva = carry out; na = not; adharmam = in adharma; voḍhum = engage; arhasi = you should.
A descendant of Raghu is famous throughout the three worlds as a dhārmika soul. Carry out your specific duty [of upholding what had promised]. You should not engage in adharma.
