Bāla-kāṇḍa
Chapter 22: The Departure of Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa with Viśvāmitra
Text 1.22.16

एतद्विद्याद्वये लब्धे भविता नास्ति ते समः।
बला चातिबला चैव सर्वज्ञानस्य मातरौ॥

etad-vidyā-dvaye labdhe bhavitā nāsti te samaḥ
balā
cātibalā caiva sarva-jñānasya mātarau

etad-vidyā-dvaye = these two sciences; labdhe = when You have acquired; bhavitā na asti = there will be none; te = to You; samaḥ = equal; balā ca = Balā; atibalā = atibalā; ca eva = and; sarva-jñānasya = of all kinds of knowledge; mātarau = are the sources.

When You have acquired these two sciences, there will be none equal to You. Balā and atibalā are the sources of all kinds of knowledge.

This summarizes the effect of reciting balā and atibalā.
