Chapter 22: The Departure of Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa with Viśvāmitra
Text 1.22.22

विद्यासमुदितो रामः शुशुभे भूरिविक्रमः।
सहस्ररश्मिर्भगवाञ्शरदीव दिवाकरः॥

vidyā-samudito rāmaḥ śuśubhe bhūri-vikramaḥ
sahasra-raśmir
bhagavāñ śaradīva divākaraḥ

vidyā-samuditaḥ = having attained these two sciences; rāmaḥ = Rāma; śuśubhe = shone; bhūri-vikramaḥ = with abundant prowess; sahasra-raśmiḥ = of a thousand rays; bhagavān = the powerful; śaradi iva = in autumn; divākaraḥ = sun.

Having attained these two sciences, Rāma shone with abundant prowess like the powerful sun of a thousand rays in autumn.
