Chapter 22: The Departure of Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa with Viśvāmitra

विश्वामित्रो ययावग्रे ततो रामो महायशाः।
काकपक्षधरो धन्वी तं च सौमित्रिरन्वगात्॥
viśvāmitro yayāv agre tato rāmo mahā-yaśāḥ
kāka-pakṣa-dharo dhanvī taṁ ca saumitrir anvagāt
viśvāmitraḥ = Viśvāmitra; yayau = went; agre = ahead; tataḥ = then came; rāmaḥ = Rāma; mahā-yaśāḥ = the greatly famous; kāka-pakṣa-dharaḥ = with side locks of hair; dhanvī = equipped with a bow; tam ca = Him; saumitriḥ = the son of Sumitrā; anvagāt = followed.
Viśvāmitra went ahead. Then came the greatly famous Rāma with side locks of hair, equipped with a bow. The son of Sumitrā followed Him.
