Chapter 24: The History of Sarayū
Text 1.24.1

ततः प्रभाते विमले कृत्वाह्निकमरिन्दमौ।
विश्वामित्रं पुरस्कृत्य नद्यास्तीरमुपागतौ॥

tataḥ prabhāte vimale kṛtvāhnikam arindamau
viśvāmitraṁ
puraskṛtya nadyās tīram upāgatau

tataḥ = then; prabhāte vimale = at sunrise early in the morning; kṛtvā = after completing; āhnikam = their early morning duties; arindamau = those subduers of the enemies; viśvāmitram = Viśvāmitra; puraskṛtya = followed and; nadyāḥ = of the river Gaṅgā; tīram = at the bank; upāgatau = arrived.

Then, at sunrise early in the morning, after completing Their early morning duties, those subduers of the enemies followed Viśvāmitra and arrived at the bank of the river Gaṅgā.

Having purified the region of Kāmāśrama by bringing the lotus feet of Lord Rāma there, the sage brought Him to the forest of Tāṭakā in order to make it free from contamination too. This is described in this chapter.
