Chapter 24: The History of Sarayū

ते च सर्वे महात्मानो मुनयः संशितव्रताः।
उपस्थाप्य शुभां नावं विश्वामित्रमथाब्रुवन्॥
te ca sarve mahātmāno munayaḥ saṁśita-vratāḥ
upasthāpya śubhāṁ nāvaṁ viśvāmitram athābruvan
te ca sarve = all of the; mahā-ātmānaḥ = greatly intelligent; munayaḥ = sages; saṁśita-vratāḥ = sharply observing their vows; upasthāpya = brought and; śubhām = an auspicious; nāvam = boat; viśvāmitram = to Viśvāmitra [as follows]; atha abruvan = spoke.
All of the greatly intelligent sages, sharply observing their vows, brought an auspicious boat and spoke to Viśvāmitra [as follows].
