Chapter 24: The History of Sarayū

इह भूम्यां मलं दत्त्वा दत्त्वा कारूशमेव च।
शरीरजं महेन्द्रस्य ततो हर्षं प्रपेदिरे॥
iha bhūmyāṁ malaṁ dattvā dattvā kārūśam eva ca
śarīrajaṁ mahendrasya tato harṣaṁ prapedire
iha bhūmyām = spot; malam = the contamination; dattvā dattvā = depositing; kārūśam eva ca = and hunger; śarīrajam = of the body; mahā-indrasya = of the great Indra at this; tataḥ harṣam prapedire = they became delighted.
They became delighted by depositing the contamination and hunger from the body of the great Indra at this spot.
