Chapter 26: The Killing of the Demoness Tāṭakā
Text 1.26.29
तां हतां भीमसङ्काशां दृष्ट्वा सुरपतिस्तदा।
साधु साध्विति काकुत्स्थं सुराश्च समपूजयन्॥
tāṁ hatāṁ bhīma-saṅkāśāṁ dṛṣṭvā sura-patis tadā
sādhu sādhv iti kākutsthaṁ surāś ca samapūjayan
tām = that yakṣiṇī; hatām = killed; bhīma-saṅkāśām = of terrible form; dṛṣṭvā = seeing; sura-patiḥ tadā = the master of the demigods; sādhu sādhu = well done, well done; iti = with the words; kākutstham = Kākutstha; surāḥ ca = and the demigods; samapūjayan = worshipped.
Seeing that yakṣiṇī of terrible form killed, the master of the demigods and the demigods worshipped Kākutstha with the words, “Well done! Well done!”
