Chapter 28: Viśvāmitra Teaches Rāma to Withdraw Divine Weapons
Text 1.28.1

प्रतिगृह्य ततोऽस्त्राणि प्रहृष्टवदनः शुचिः।
गच्छन्नेव च काकुत्स्थो विश्वामित्रमथाब्रवीत्॥

pratigṛhya tato ’strāṇi prahṛṣṭa-vadanaḥ śuciḥ
gacchann
eva ca kākutstho viśvāmitram athābravīt

pratigṛhya tataḥ = having received; astrāṇi = those weapons; prahṛṣṭa-vadanaḥ = with a happy face; śuciḥ = having purified Himself; gacchan eva ca = while they were about to depart; kākutsthaḥ = Lord Rāmacandra, the descendant of Kakutstha; viśvāmitram = Viśvāmitra; atha = then; abravīt = told.

Having received those weapons, having purified Himself, with a happy face, Lord Rāmacandra, the descendant of Kakutstha, then told Viśvāmitra while they were about to depart.

This chapter describes Lord Śrī Rāmacandra’s acceptance of mantras that withdraw weapons that have been put to use.
