पुत्रत्वं गच्छ भगवन्नदित्या मम चानघ।
भ्राता भव यवीयांस्त्वं शक्रस्यासुरसूदन।
शोकार्तानां तु देवानां साहाय्यं कर्तुमर्हसि॥
putratvaṁ gaccha bhagavann adityā mama cānagha
bhrātā bhava yavīyāṁs tvaṁ śakrasyāsura-sūdana
śokārtānāṁ tu devānāṁ sāhāyyaṁ kartum arhasi
putratvam gaccha = please become the son; bhagavan = Supreme Personality of Godhead; adityāḥ = of Aditi; mama ca = and myself; anagha = O uncontaminated; bhrātā = brother; bhava = please become; yavīyān = the younger; tvam = You; śakrasya = of Indra; asura-sūdana = O destroyer of the asuras; śoka-ārtānām tu = afflicted with distress; devānām = the devas; sāhāyyam kartum arhasi = should help.
O uncontaminated Supreme Personality of Godhead, please become the son of Aditi and myself. O destroyer of the asuras, please become the younger brother of Indra. You should help the devas afflicted with distress.
NOTE. In Bhagavad-gītā 10.21, the Supreme Personality of Godhead states that Vāmana Viṣṇu represents Him among the Ādityas (the sons of Aditi)—ādityānām ahaṁ viṣṇuḥ: “Of the Ādityas I am Viṣṇu.” Lord Vāmana is a direct incarnation of the Supreme Lord.
