Chapter 29: The History of Siddhāśrama
Text 1.29.21
वयं दानार्थिनो राजञ्श्रुत्वा यज्ञमनुत्तमम्।
त्वां दृष्ट्वा तव योगेषु किञ्चिल्लब्धुमिहागताः॥
vayaṁ dānārthino rājañ śrutvā yajñam anuttamam
tvāṁ dṛṣṭvā tava yogeṣu kiñcil labdhum ihāgatāḥ
vayam = we; dāna-arthinaḥ = seek charity from you; rājan = O king; śrutvā = having heard; yajñam = of your sacrifice; anuttamam = excellent; tvām = you; dṛṣṭvā = and having seen; tava = from you; yogeṣu = during these sacred performances; kiñcit = something; labdhum = to obtain; iha = here; agatāḥ = we have come.
O king, We seek charity from you. Having heard of your excellent sacrifice and having seen you, We have come to obtain something from you here during these sacred performances.
