Chapter 29: The History of Siddhāśrama
Text 1.29.32
इति मत्वोदकं दत्तं वामनाय महात्मने।
तव पादत्रयाक्रान्तां गृहाणाद्य महीं प्रभो॥
iti matvodakaṁ dattaṁ vāmanāya mahātmane
tava pāda-trayākrāntāṁ gṛhāṇādya mahīṁ prabho
iti = thus; matvā = considering; udakam = water [to wash His hands for accepting the charity according to the scriptural regulations while saying]; dattam = he gave; vāmanāya = Vāmana; mahā-ātmane = the Supreme Soul; tava = Your; pāda-traya-ākrāntām = that extends to three of footsteps; gṛhāṇa adya = please accept; mahīm = land; prabho = O Lord.
Considering thus, he gave the Supreme Soul Vāmana water [to wash His hands for accepting the charity according to the scriptural regulations while saying]: O Lord, please accept land that extends to three of Your footsteps.
