Chapter 29: The History of Siddhāśrama
Text 1.29.41
यथार्हं चक्रिरे पूजां विश्वामित्राय धीमते।
तथैव राजपुत्राभ्यामकुर्वन्नतिथिक्रियाम्॥
yathārhaṁ cakrire pūjāṁ viśvāmitrāya dhīmate
tathaiva rāja-putrābhyām akurvann atithi-kriyām
yathā-arham = as appropriate; cakrire pūjām = they worshipped; viśvāmitrāya = Viśvāmitra; dhīmate = the intelligent; tathā eva = and; rāja-putrābhyām = the two princes; akurvan atithi-kriyām = treated as uninvited guests.
They worshipped the intelligent Viśvāmitra as appropriate and treated the two princes as uninvited guests.
The sages offered Viśvāmitra the worship fit for a sage.
