Chapter 30: Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa Protect Viśvāmitra’s Sacrifice

पश्य लक्ष्मण शीतेषुं मानवं धर्मसंहितम्।
मोहयित्वा नयत्येनं न च प्राणैर्व्ययुज्यत॥
paśya lakṣmaṇa śīteṣuṁ mānavaṁ dharma-saṁhitam
mohayitvā nayaty enaṁ na ca prāṇair vyayujyata
paśya lakṣmaṇa = Lakṣmaṇa look; śīteṣum = at the Śīteṣu; mānavam dharma-saṁhitam = Mānava weapon that is dhārmika in nature; mohayitvā = it causes to Mārīca to faint and; nayati enam = throws him [far away]; na ca prāṇaiḥ vyayujyata = it has not taken away his life.
Lakṣmaṇa, look at the Śīteṣu Mānava weapon that is dhārmika in nature. It causes Mārīca to faint and throws him [far away]. It has not taken away his life.
