Chapter 30: Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa Protect Viśvāmitra’s Sacrifice

अथ यज्ञे समाप्ते तु विश्वामित्रो महामुनिः।
निरीतिका दिशो दृष्ट्वा काकुत्स्थमिदमब्रवीत्॥
atha yajñe samāpte tu viśvāmitro mahā-muniḥ
nirītikā diśo dṛṣṭvā kākutstham idam abravīt
atha yajñe samāpte tu = when the sacrifice was completed; viśvāmitraḥ mahā-muniḥ = the great sage Viśvāmitra; nirītikāḥ diśaḥ dṛṣṭvā = saw that all the directions were free from obstructions and; kākutstham = to the descendant of Kakutstha; idam abravīt = spoke as follows.
When the sacrifice was completed, the great sage Viśvāmitra saw that all the directions were free from obstructions and spoke as follows to the descendant of Kakutstha.
