Chapter 30: Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa Protect Viśvāmitra’s Sacrifice

एवं ब्रुवाणौ काकुत्स्थौ त्वरमाणौ युयुत्सया।
सर्वे ते मुनयः प्रीताः प्रशशंसुर्नृपात्मजौ॥
evaṁ bruvāṇau kākutsthau tvaramāṇau yuyutsayā
sarve te munayaḥ prītāḥ praśaśaṁsur nṛpātmajau
evam = thus; bruvāṇau = spoke; kākutsthau = when the descendants of Kakutstha; tvaramāṇau = and were eager [to guard the sacrifice]; yuyutsayā = with a desire to fight [the rākṣasas]; sarve te munayaḥ = all of the sages; prītāḥ = became pleased; praśaśaṁsuh = and glorified; nṛpa-ātmajau = the two princes.
When the descendants of Kakutstha spoke thus and were eager [to guard the sacrifice] with a desire to fight [the rākṣasas], all of the sages became pleased and glorified the two princes.
